Alessio Farhadi is a co-founder of Speevr where he currently serves as the CEO. He recently became a regular contributor to the firm's flagship Speevr Intelligence publication series – a ritual he finds refreshing and complimentary to his other responsibilities. Alessio's interests cover: macroeconomics, geopolitics, natural language processing (NLP), big data polling, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and post-quantum encryption.
Prior to Speevr, Alessio served for over a decade as a hedge fund portfolio manager and prop trader in London and New York.
Alessio holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London. His thesis focused on cross-discipline applications of Non-Equilibrium Statistical Mechanics in Climates Science.
