A potential victory by Joe Biden in the 3 November US presidential election would likely increase tensions between the White House and the Kremlin and raise the probability of new sanctions on Russia. While the US will remain a key strategic partner for most countries in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) regardless of the election outcome, a more predicable US foreign policy, improved transatlantic ties and a renewed US commitment to NATO would be welcomed in the region.
