Background

Dr Wolf Piccoli – Europe political risk analyst specializing in the politics of Turkey, Italy, and Greece. He co-leads Teneo’s geopolitical risk advisory group, and serves as director of research. As part of the firm’s consulting services, he advises the CIOs and CEOs of a select group of asset managers and several of the world’s largest multinational corporations.

As a political scientist, Wolf holds a Ph.D. in International Politics from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. During his time living in Turkey he completed his M.A. in International Relations from the University of Bilkent (Ankara). He is co-author of Turkey at the Crossroads: Ottoman Legacies and a Greater Middle East.

Wolf has extensive experience working closely with clients to incorporate his research within a variety of business strategies and investment frameworks.

Prior to joining Teneo, Wolf was the director of the London office and led the Europe practice at Eurasia Group. He often appears on major TV networks and is frequently quoted in the world’s leading newspapers in Italian, Turkish, and English.
