Lavinia is an experienced economist who has worked in a range of areas. Before joining the firm, Lavinia worked for Nomura in the Economic Research Department, where she was responsible for the Bank’s macroeconomic analysis of Italy and Spain, and inflation forecasting for the euro area. Lavinia wrote extensively in the Global Weekly Economic Monitor, and presented regularly to clients, policymakers, and the media. Prior to that Lavinia co-authored (with John Llewellyn) a major study, The Ascent of Asia. Before that, she worked for Lehman Brothers in the euro area economic research department on a variety of economic and market issues.
Lavinia earned an undergraduate degree in Statistics and Economics, with honors cum laude, from the University of Rome La Sapienza, and a Master’s Degree in Economics from University College London.
